It started on night shift.

My name is Lukas. During my apprenticeship I worked a three-shift rotation — early, late, nights. Two straight weeks of night shift was normal.

Here is what nobody tells you: the shift is not the problem. What comes after is.

You get home at six in the morning and the day outside is just starting. Sun in the window, street awake, neighbours awake — and you are supposed to sleep now. I would lie there wide awake.

I tried everything. Blinds down. Towel over the window. Pillow over my face. None of it really worked.

At some point I bought a sleep mask. One of the cheap ones you find everywhere. The difference was there immediately — but the thing itself was bad. Too tight, pressed on my eyes, the fabric clung to my skin, and the seam came apart within weeks.

So I looked at what else was out there. Honestly: either an eight-euro wellness item that falls apart after three washes, or something that looks like it came out of a medical supply catalogue.

Nothing I would have been glad to put on at night.

That is why AURVEX Nuit exists.

What we stand for

We do not sell a sleep guide and we do not sell a wellness promise. We do one thing, and we do it properly: a mask that actually blocks the light, feels good on your face, and looks like something you do not have to put away when someone comes over.

AURVEX Nuit is not a corporation. It is a small business out of Thuringia, Germany, built alongside a day job, out of a problem I had myself and that annoyed me for years.
